Charles Helme Strater


Charles Helme Strater was born on January 31, 1913, in Louisville, Kentucky, to Alice Bacon Barnes, age 22, and Charles Helme Strater, age 29. He had two younger sisters Caroline and Margaret and a younger brother John. In Rye his family lived at 66 Milton Road and were members of Christ's Church.

He married Mabel Hale Millard on September 5, 1936, in Wynnewood, Pennsylvania. He died on November 5, 2003, in Pasadena, California, at the age of 90, and was buried in Altadena, California.

Charles served as an officer in the U.S. Army during World War II.
